⚠️ NO late registrations will be accepted — this is a hard rule due to the Navy’s required background checks for access to Port Hueneme Navy Base for the ship tour.

Refund policy, full refunds will be offered up until January 12th, 2026 at 1800, after that we have already made reservations for dinner, BBQ and signed contracts for the number of meals and we will be unable to offer any refunds.

Hotel Reservations for the group rate must be made prior to Thursday, January 22, 2026. After the cutoff date the group rate is subject to availability.

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the USS Paul F Fosters commissioning on February 21, 1976

Come help us celebrate 50 years of service to the United States Navy

Here is a high-level plan of events for the reunion…we are still working on a detailed agenda.

On Thursday night: Unofficial and informal Meet & Greet at the hotel for those arriving early.
Location and details TBD, but this will be very casual with no firm schedule or agenda, just say hi if you are in the area.

On Friday morning: 10:00 to 1700, we visit the former USS PAUL F. FOSTER and will be given a tour of our former home by the S.D.T.S. staff, we will also enjoy a delicious, fully catered BBQ lunch by “Its in the Sause BBQ” catering with friends and family. details TBD

Even active duty and retired military must be on our guest list to board the test ship, the TEST ship is a secure site.

**Do not take photos of the ship, this is the fastest way to ruin the event for everyone else**

** You will be asked to leave your Cell Phones in your car**

(There will be an official Navy photographer to capture the event.)

**PLEASE DO NOT roam the ship unescorted, this is not allowed**

**This is a working ship and danger lurks around every corner**

Children 8 and older will be allowed on the ship during the ship visit, but must be with a parent at all times, no running or horseplay will be tolerated. Stairs and ladders can be difficult for small children and some adults as well. Sandals and open-toed shoes do not work well on Navy ships. Wear appropriate shoes for the ship visit.

If you have to carry your child they are too young and you should make arrangements for someone to watch them while you tour the ship, the ships ladders are very steep and narrow and dangerous place for children or adults carrying small children.

Friday evening: liberty call for all hands, find your shipmates and go tell sea stories until the wee hours of the morning!

Hotel Hospitality Suite will be open in the evening, where you can find more shipmates, view merchandise for sale and see our raffle prizes, and enjoy a refreshing beverage and some snacks compliments of the association.

Saturday morning: 0900 to 1100, we will hold our general meeting at the hotel meeting room (coffee will be served). During this essential meeting, we will discuss the current state and future of the Association, review the bylaws, elect new board members and pay tribute to those we’ve lost with the bell ceremony. Saturday Evening:

A Gala dinner will be held, location Staybridge Suites Oxnard River Ridge, Hotel location, time and meal details still to come.

🎖️ Special Recognition:
A dedicated table will honor USS Paul F. Foster (DD-964) Plank Owners during the dinner. These original crew members will receive special recognition as we celebrate 50 years since commissioning.

⚠️ Reminder: Reunion registration and hotel reservations are two separate items with two separate fees.
Reunion registration fees cover all Association reunion costs, including catered meals and miscellaneous expenses.

You will be contacted by email after you register and be provided with the forms for the background check, you must complete these form and send them back to us so your background checks can be completed, more detailed instructions will come in the emails.

You are responsible for making and managing your own hotel reservations directly with the hotel or other lodging of your choice.

This is the official event hotel for our discount block of rooms, but you may stay anywhere you like, even on base if you meet the Navy lodge requirements.

Thank you for selecting Staybridge Suites Oxnard River Ridge to host the USS Paul F. Foster 50th Anniversary event.

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Donna Messina-Ruiz, the Sales and Catering Assistant at Staybridge Suites Oxnard River Ridge. I will be assisting Marissa Vanderwyck, our Director of Sales who will be your contact through the planning process for your group. We will be happy to assist you as we host your friends and family.

We will contact you periodically with updates on your room block and lists of reservations made, however, if you need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Below is some important information regarding your block.

Reservation information for the block: Code PFF

Sleeping rooms in your room block are $170 for a Studio king room with a sofa bed, $230 for a Penthouse Suite with two queen beds and a sofa sleeper.

Hot Breakfast Buffet, Parking and Basic Wifi are included in the room rate.

Reservations for the group rate must be made prior to Thursday, January 22, 2026. After the cutoff date the group rate is subject to availability.

Check-in time is after 3pm, check out time is 12pm

A Credit Card is required to guarantee the reservation. Credit Card will be authorized for $100 at the time of check-in.

Reservations must be canceled 24 hours prior to arrival or credit card will be charged for one night’s stay.
