Join your shipmates at our 2029 Reunion in Port Hueneme California

Check Back Often for Possible 2029 “End of Watch” Reunion Information

Military Reunions are important.

Military reunions reconnect shipmates.

Foster Reunions will change your life.

Foster reunions are unforgettable.

Foster reunions rebuild the brotherhood.

Many of you may have already heard that the U.S. Navy has begun planning for the eventual replacement of DD-964 as the Navy’s Self Defense Test Ship (SDTS). While we do not yet have many details or a specific timeline, we remain in communication with the Navy regarding the future of our proud ship.

The Navy has assured us that the USS Paul F. Foster Association will be included in her retirement events whenever that time comes. We are honored by that commitment and will share information with our shipmates as soon as it becomes available.

Another important milestone is also approaching. September 2029 will mark the 20th anniversary of the founding of the USS Paul F. Foster Association. Our association was established during our first official reunion in Ventura, California, in September 2009—a memorable day that brought many shipmates together and launched this great organization.

Because of these two significant events, our next reunion will likely be centered around one of the following occasions:

  • ⚓ The “End of Watch” retirement of our proud Navy destroyer (Date dependent on Navy plans)
  • ⚓ The 20th Anniversary of the USS Paul F. Foster Association (September 2029)

Per our Bylaws:

  • ⚓General Reunions shall be held approximately every three (3) years.
  • ⚓When possible, the reunion schedule will coincide with the SDTS, ex Paul F. Foster’s availability.
  • ⚓ So that means that the next reunion will be held in Port Hueneme California, regardless of date.

As plans develop, we will continue working with the Navy and will keep all shipmates informed.

Please check back often for updates and announcements regarding the 2029 reunion.
